Repeat Prescriptions
Animal Choice is happy to provide repeat prescriptions for pets who are on long-term medication. To keep your pet safe, all medications must be prescribed by a vet who has seen them recently.
How to Request a Repeat Prescription
Call us or email your request
Tell us your name, your pet's name, the medication, and the amount needed
Please allow 3 - 5 working days for preparation
Written Prescriptions
If you prefer to buy medication elsewhere, we can provide a written prescription. A small fee applies for this service (see Fees & Transparency). You are welcome to choose whichever supplier you prefer.
If Your Pet's Condition Has Changed
If symptoms have worsened, new signs have appeared, or the medication isn't working as expected, we may need to see your pet before issuing more medication. This helps ensure your pet receives the right treatment at the right time.
When a Check-Up Is Needed
By law, pets on long-term medication must be examined regularly. Most pets need a review every 3 - 6 months, depending on their condition and medication. These checks ensure your pet's treatment remains safe, effective, and appropriate.
